One quaint thing that a visitor may come to like about Negril is that there are no high-rise hotels. There is a Negril mandate that states that no Hotel can be taller than the highest palm tree. There is something very appealing about a resort town that makes great effort to preserve its natural habitat while still being progressive. I like that, don’t you?

There are four distinct types of Hotels in Negril: beachside all-inclusive, beachside boutique, Cliffside and apartment-style.
Beachside all-inclusive hotels are larger than most in Negril and tend to occupy the Northern end of the Seven Mile Beach. These resorts tend to have multiple restaurant facilities, gym, shopping and entertainment and airport so the guests never have to leave the property.
Beachside boutique resorts are smaller but more personal. For those who crave private relaxation, this option is ideal. They have great restaurants, bars and entertainment too. These are often found around the cliffy side of Negril.
Cliff resorts have the advantage of great sunset views, natural limestone caves and cliff-jumping.
Beach villas and apartments are for those who are a looking for a home away from home. They usually come with kitchenettes and are very family-friendly. They usually offer access to water sports for the whole family.
